Tuesday @ 2:00 - WE Create Change assembly

• introducing the organizations we will be supporting with our walk on Thursday 
• learn more about Free the Children and the Terry Fox Foundation by watching the videos posted earlier in the week

Wednesday - Meet the Teacher

• friendly reminder I will be in book fair.  If you would like to meet with me, just drop in there and I will be happy to chat

Wednesday - Friday - Book Fair @ St. Rose

• Wednesday is also picture day (bring your best smile)
• this is not for grad photos though, they will be taken later in the year

Thursday - WE Walk for Change

• we will be collecting loose change for the organizations mentioned above and will be walking as a school to Kiwanis Park and back

Friday - Student of the Month Assembly

• please join us for our first student of the month assembly @ 12:30
• grade 8's will take their place leading the DPA (daily physical activity) at the end of the assembly

WE Create Change

This week we kick off our Falcon Leadership Program with our We Create Change Walk.  This walk will support two charities that are very important to us.  We will be collecting loose change for Free the Children's Water Campaign as well as the Terry Fox Foundation.  I have included a few videos so that you can see how important each of these organizations are to the lives of others.

Leadership T-Shirts

Forms went home today.  Information is as follows:

This year the grade 8 class has chosen the following quote for the back of their t-shirts: Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase. ~Martin Luther King, Jr.  We would like to place the t-shirt order by Monday, September 16^th so that we can ensure we have them in plenty of time for our Muskoka Woods trip.  The cost of the t-shirt is $15.00.
