WE Give

Our WE Give campaign was an overwhelming success!  The generosity of our St. Rose families is truly amazing.  As a school we TWO cars full of new toys and socks to donate to Divine Mercy and their Christmas giving program.

Special thanks to our WE Act club for your announcements, posters, and enthusiasm as the gifts piled up in our classroom!  I am so proud of all of you!

Be an UPstander!

I love this song!  One of my favourite lines is "In God's Eye's We're All the Same,"  We all need to see the world with the same love and respect God does!

Paracord Bracelets

Of all the videos I have watched, this one seems to clearly explain the process.

Steps to note:
1. Make middle section first - measure your wrist and make sure to add enough for the knot
2. For a 7-1.2 inch wrist, you will want about 3 feet of each colour

** Attaching the colours using a candle is a job for AN ADULT!

One Second Every Day

In an effort to really remember all of the moments in our Grade 8 year, we are creating a one second every day video.  If you have a few minutes, take a look at this Ted Talk featuring Cesar Kuriyama.  You will likely be as inspired as we were.   I can't wait to see the moments that September has in store for us.

Pictures for Graduation Video

We are starting a project where everyone is creating a timeline of their life. Each event needs to have a photo or clipart to go with it.  While everyone is looking at photos, we are also collecting our pictures for graduation. Everyone should bring in 3  pictures.  One from when they were a baby, one as a toddler and one from the junior years (grade 4 - 6).   All the pictures are going to be scanned.  If you have a scanner and can send a scanned copy, that would be fantastic!  Simply scan your pictures and email them to Mrs. Clement or bring them in on a jump drive.  We are hoping to have all pictures collected by the end of September.   Thanks!

Welcome Back!

It is so great having all of you back in my class again this year!  A special welcome to Amanda, Colbie, Sam and Jackson as well!   This is definitely going to be an exciting year!
